Exercise is one of the most effective ways to maintain mobility, balance, strength, and independence for people living with Parkinson’s Disease. Research shows that regular movement can help improve walking, posture, flexibility, coordination, and overall quality of life—while helping you continue doing the activities you enjoy every day.
At ProActive Therapy and Wellness, exercise is about more than just fitness. Our studio provides a supportive, small-group environment where programs can be adapted to your individual needs and goals. We combine evidence-based Parkinson’s exercise with real-life functional movement training, focusing on skills that matter in everyday life like balance, walking, posture, floor transfers, and confidence with movement.
Through a mix of boxing, tai chi, yoga, strength training, balance work, and mobility exercises, our goal is to help you stay active, capable, and independent in a welcoming community that keeps movement both effective and enjoyable.
Train your brain and body to move BIG – practice larger, more intentional movements to fight the small, shuffling motions Parkinson’s can cause.
Boost strength and power – boxing-inspired drills and functional exercises build muscle and endurance for everyday activities.
Improve flexibility and posture – targeted stretches and movement patterns help loosen stiffness and support upright alignment.
Sharpen balance and coordination – practice dynamic exercises that reduce fall risk and increase confidence in movement.
Enhance mobility and independence – learn techniques that carry over into walking, standing up, and daily routines.
Stay motivated in a group setting – the energy of working alongside others brings accountability, encouragement, and fun.
Support brain health – challenging movement patterns stimulate neuroplasticity, helping the brain form stronger connections.
Build resilience and confidence – safe, progressive training helps you feel more capable and in control.
