Join Michele Walker, PT, for a small-group, in-person workshop focused on fall recovery, balance, mobility, and maintaining independence as we age.

This supportive, hands-on event includes guided practice, individualized instruction, and optional safety harness support for those who feel nervous about floor mobility.

That’s exactly why this workshop is designed with safety in mind.

For participants who feel especially nervous, a support harness system will be available to allow practice with added security and confidence.

You’ll never be pressured to do anything beyond your comfort level.

Meet Michele Walker, PT

Hi, I’m Michele Walker, owner of ProActive Therapy and Wellness in Summerfield, NC.

For more than 30 years, I’ve helped older adults improve balance, mobility, and confidence so they can continue doing the things they love.

One of the biggest fears I hear from people is: “What if I fall and can’t get back up?”

This workshop was created to help answer that question with practical solutions, hands-on guidance, and a supportive environment where people can safely practice real-life skills that matter.

Where can I park?

Parking is conveniently available in a gravel area near the entrance. For those requiring a closer and more level area, there is space for several vehicles directly outside the clinic.

How long will it last?

You’ll spend around 90 minutes learning practical strategies and helpful guidance related to falls and fall recovery.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to invite others who would benefit from learning supportive ways to safey get on and off the floor and maintain an active lifestyle. Just make sure to call us to confirm your plus ones space or sign them up after signing yourself up!

Do I need to be able to get on the floor already?

No. This workshop is designed for a variety of mobility levels, and techniques can be modified as needed.

What if I'm afraid of falling?

That’s very common, and one reason this workshop exists. Safety harness support will be available for participants who would feel more comfortable using it.

Is this only for people who have already fallen?

Not at all. Many people attend because they want to be proactive and better prepared.

Will we actually practice getting up from the floor?

Yes, participants will have opportunities to practice techniques in a supervised and supportive setting.
